Using Cittly

Creator Studio & OBS setup

Keep queue controls private and prepare a clean creator–fan broadcast layout.

Separate your working space from the broadcast#

Your working space is where you manage the queue, accept or skip participants, end a conversation, review camera/microphone controls, and monitor broadcast status. A clean broadcast output is the picture intended for viewers: the creator, selected fan, and any deliberately included names, backgrounds, or overlays.

Do not broadcast your whole dashboard by accident. Private queue information, account settings, notifications, credentials, and stream keys should not appear in the audience output.

Organizing panels and displays#

Arrange the available panels around the controls you need most. If your studio tools support moving, resizing, or detaching panels, you may keep them together or move them between displays. Multiple monitors are optional; the private workspace and clean output serve different purposes even on one screen.

One display or several#

With one display, keep the creator controls accessible and capture only the output intended for viewers. With more displays, you may move the output or preview to another screen while keeping the queue and call controls nearby. Moving a panel should not be treated as starting a separate fan conversation.

Capture with OBS#

When a clean output window is available, Window Capture can help isolate it. Display Capture records the selected display and can include unrelated windows or notifications. Choose deliberately and inspect the preview before going live.

Check that the intended creator and fan audio are present once each. Avoid duplicated sources and microphone feedback. Do a private rehearsal using a willing test participant and verify that private controls remain outside the captured picture.

YouTube management#

Set up the creator's broadcast through YouTube's supported tools, with embedding enabled when appropriate. OBS sends the prepared picture and audio to the stream. Cittly can show the associated YouTube player to the audience while its own queue and live conversation controls manage participation.

Keep YouTube Live Control Room available for settings or controls not integrated into your studio. Integrated controls depend on supported access and creator authorization. Never share the YouTube stream key or give an unknown person access to the channel.

Before accepting the first fan#

Confirm the topic, time limit, audience, recording/replay notice, participant permission, and safety process. Verify that the clean output is ready, audio is correct, and the broadcast is reaching the expected audience. See broadcast guidance and Q&A troubleshooting.

Availability#

This guide explains the studio setup and workflow. Use the actual controls and capture options your Cittly and broadcasting tools provide; it does not promise every integration or panel configuration is already present on every device.
