# Profile & account basics Represent yourself clearly and protect your account information. Operator: Cittly tech Updated: 2026-10-11 Scope: Upcoming community release Canonical: https://docs.cittly.com/profile-basics ## Your identity on Cittly A profile helps people understand who they are interacting with. Choose a name, image, and description that represent you without impersonating a person, creator, company, or organization. An account name alone is not proof of authenticity. ## Share only what you intend Avoid publishing contact details, private addresses, financial information, passwords, or verification codes. Review any visibility controls your version provides. This page does not assume that a particular profile field is hidden from other people. ## Editing and preferences Use the profile and account settings actually available in your build. Exact fields, username changes, image updates, privacy settings, and recovery options have not all been confirmed. If a setting is missing or unclear, contact [support](/support-information) rather than relying on an unofficial guide. ## Account security Keep sign-in details private and be cautious of requests to move to another service or reveal a code. Read [sign-in troubleshooting](/sign-in-help) if you cannot access your account. ## Deletion is documented separately Cittly's confirmed deletion request information and seven-day recovery window are covered in [delete your account](/delete-account). This profile guide does not change that window or promise an unconfirmed data-export feature.
