# Friends & profiles

Make connections without giving up your boundaries.

## From a conversation to a connection
In the community release, you can send a friend request to someone you meet and continue chatting through Friends if they accept. A request is an invitation; repeated unwanted requests or attempts to bypass a person's refusal are harassment.

## Your profile
Choose a name, image, and description that represent you without impersonating someone else. Do not publish private contact details, sexual content, or deceptive claims.

## Protect your account
Use secure login methods, keep credentials private, and be cautious of anyone asking for a password or one-time code. Cittly staff and creators should never need your password to resolve a report.

For a harmful interaction, use [reporting and appeals](/reporting-and-appeals).
